 Volunteers received Volunteer Service Awards at the annual Volunteer
Appreciation Party on January 19 at the Loyal American Legion.

On January 19, the Highground celebrated all the volunteers that are the
heart of our veterans park. Everyone enjoyed a fantastic potluck
supper, great entertainment, and a fun white elephant auction that
raised over $900. The money will be split between the Clark County
Department of Aging and The Highground. The Highground Award was
presented to volunteers with 50 - 100 hours of service in 2007.
Recipients were: Mel Dux, Ina Mae Dux, Bill Flemal, Skip Klabon, Dick
O'Brien, Norm Poppe, Bernie Walker, Merle Bartsch, Terri Johnson, Al
Johnson, and Cindy Boon. The Presidential Volunteer Service Award was
presented to volunteers with over 100 hours of service in 2007.
Recipients were: Betty Schultz, Bill Schultz, Jerry Smith, Cliff Harmon,
Ken Jennings, Leonard Frye, Fred Craig, Rory Schutte, Mitch Parrish,
Mike Stoecklein, and Paul Jakel. Thank you to all our volunteers! |
